Localization problem - menu problems and language detection

Hi,

i have some problems with Localization Extensions. I've installed LE on DNN 5.2.2 and after configuration as written in documentation, module is not working perfectly fine. I have defined two languages on page pl and en. Each language has it's own home page (for pl is Portale.aspx and for en is Portals.aspx). When I open page in brwoser LE sets polish version of page what is equal to language set in my browser. Changing to english version by changing URL to en/Portals.aspx works fine, but menu is always diplayed for english version. There is also problem with Language Pack. I've installed it in Host -> Extensions, and DNN shows it on Admin -> Languages, but in this version of DNN I don't have Host -> Languages position in menu so LE shows a warning message:

Missing language pack for language pl.
Install the language pack for this locale from host / languages.

I've used LE on previous version of DNN (4.9.x) and it worked fine. What should I do to make LE work properly on DNN 5.2.2.

I would be gratefull for any help in resolving this problem.

Regards

Re: Localization problem - menu problems and language detection

Hi,

Make sure you are using the DNN5 version of our localization extensions. There are 2 packages; DNN4_ and DNN5_

If you are using a DNN5 package and getting these behaviors, let us know, we will investigate.

Re: Localization problem - menu problems and language detection

Hi,

The problem may be that the 'pl' language is not enabled.

1) Admin / Languages
2) Select 'pl' language on the upper left and use 'Edit Language'
3) Make sure the 'Enabled' box is checked

If that doesn't solve your issue, please send login to the installation using our contact form.

Re: Localization problem - menu problems and language detection

Hi,

enabling pl language helped. I didn't notice earlier that language is disabled.

Thank you for your time and help.

Best regards,
Eladamri
