Re: Artmenu support?

Sadly I can't test your non-official version as my website is running on DNN 4 and not DNN 5.

I tried v1.32 -------- Results: Functionnal but the menus arent lighted up like they should..

I can't wait till a fully Artmenu compatible version is released because I need it bad.

Tha alox, keep up the good work guys!

Pat

Re: help please

Hi,

We are going to include support for full language code before releasing an official build with support for Artisteer.

In the meantime, you can use build 1.34 to test Artisteer support, but this will not be a supported build. You should be able to figure out how to get build 1.34. If not, then I guess you will have to wait for the official build...

Have a nice day.

Re: help please

You can find build 1.35 which will be the next official build if all goes well:

http://www.adequation-dotnetnuke.com/Portals/0/DNN5_LocalizationExtensions.1.35.zip

Please report back on your experience if you test this build.

Thanks

Re: help please

Hi, sorry for just jumping in..

v 1.35 Works pretty good, except for the ArtMenu not beeing based the newest version of ArtMenuSO.ascx.vb. Installation was a breeze once I got rid of the 10 year old SQL server...

Had to merge your localization code by comparing to the old horizontal only Artisteer code, and then adding the newer 2.4.0.25435 code which also include the vertical menu sidebar. Which version of Artisteer ArtMenuSO has been used here?

I am not shure everything is perfect, but seem to work ok for now on a test server.

Main issue is keeping up with two different versions since Artisteer continously making improvements to their code, how should these localization changes  keep up with the Artisteer updates? I guess that the ArtMenuSO vb file will be overwritten each time a new skin is uploaded.

Re: help please

Hi Ron,

Can you send me your modified code for the new Artisteer version? I agree this changning code is problematic and I don't currently see any good solution...

Lots of "would be nice". Would be nice for them to use a standard DNN menu or another supported menu. Would be even nicer for them to natively support our extensions (needs pressure from the users, i.e. you, to make them do this).

I'd like to see your code to see if it would be possible to create a generic patcher... Please send to contact @ ourdomain.

Thanks

Re: help please

Hi,

I have read all the posts and i think that Localization Extensions must support Artisteer. I have a dnn 5 website and i tried your version 1.35 but with no good results. Did you manage to have a tested release that works fine?

Thanking you in advance,

Antonis Savva

Re: help please

Hi,

We'll have to contact Artisteer to propose some changes to their code so we can integrate and provide proper support for their menu. Currently, our experimental implementation is dependent on a specific Artisteer version and will not work with more recent versions. We are looking for an implementation that will not break with new releases of Artisteer and this will require changes on Artisteer's side.

I'll report in this thread of progress -- we should have some more information this week.

Thanks
