Starting with DNN 5.5, we will begin to see the much anticipated content localization features built into the DNN core. We believe that DNN will eventually provide everything that our extensions are currently providing and that our extensions will no longer be required.
From the initial bits that are available, the solution that is being implemented is really close to how our localization extensions work. This is good news for Localization Extensions users as this means that we should be able to provide an easy upgrade path to use the upcoming built-in content localization features.
We have just released v1.37 of our localization extensions which is most likely to be the last release with new features as we start investigating the new features and how to provide an easy upgrade path.
